An opportunity is available to join a multi-national diversified mining and exploration company in the role of a Database Geologist
The company are offering an interesting role with a focus on a range of commodities including zinc, copper, nickel, lead and precious metals.
This position will present you with good opportunities for career development to learn more about geological modelling and resource definition.
The main purpose of the role is to provide support to the exploration and management team
Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
* Preparing maps and figures for reports as required
* Updating company GIS data files
* Assisting DBA with data entry and validation duties
* Follow up data validation issues with field staff
Experience and qualifications required for this role:
- Practical experience and understanding of exploration and tenement system
- Computer literacy and experience of MapInfo and Micromine
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Able to work unsupervised
- Attention to detail
